How self-watering works

The insert separates the root from the reservoir and doses the water by wick: fill the reservoir and forget it for ~10–14 days, depending on plant and climate. PETG holds up indoors and outdoors; in full sun the reservoir empties faster, so it lasts longer in the shade.
